TV's Female Rising Stars
Source: Hollywood.com

This year, a new crop of female phenoms is causing a stir on the tube. From sexy sitcom stars to classically trained dramatic actresses, we take a closer look at 10 ladies on the rise--10 ladies soon to be household names.

Name: Jolene Blalock

Visibility Now: UPN's Enterprise, a prequel to the Star Trek series, playing Sub-Commander T'Pol, the Vulcan Science Officer assigned to oversee humanity's progress onboard the Enterprise.

Gaining Ascension: Kind of shy about giving out information on herself, but we do know Blalock grew up in California. She is an excellent surfer, and went to the ocean a lot with her father and brothers "the way other fathers take their kids to the park," she told Maxim magazine. She is best known for playing Medea in last year's miniseries Jason and the Argonauts with Jason London. Along with UPN's newest Star Trek journey, Blalock also will star in the miniseries Diamond Hunters with Roy Schneider and Sean Patrick Flannery, a drama set against the background of South Africa's emerald coast and diamond mines. And she has been getting a lot of attention from her sexy photo layout in a recent issue of Maxim magazine.

Quotable Quotes: "I love to work. You want to talk about natural highs? There's nothing like it. It's better than sex," from an interview in Maxim magazine.
