“This show has a philosophy similar to the original series….first of all, in terms of a strong woman in the midst of a heavy testosterone ship and a mostly testosterone driven world, and getting through that way. And then also the need for responsibility. The responsibility of our actions, the way things should be done. At the same time, she’s learning as she works with humans that yes, there’s protocol, but humans are extremely resourceful. Even through they have their own way, they do get by and they do learn, So she’s learning from humans as well. I would say she has a grudging respect for them.”

“Unlike Spock, T’Pol will probably be attempting to find her emotions on occasion. She has learned quite a bit from humans, from working with them, from living with them. We just finished the seventh episode in which a Vulcan captain comes over from another ship for a meal. Sitting around the dinner table, I think she realises, ‘I have grown’, especially in comparison to this Vulcan who is a typical Vulcan. She is sitting there, realising, ‘I have learned, I have changed’, and its because of these humans.”

“She’s always coming from a very positive place. She’s got great integrity, she wants the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. She doesn’t have any sort of an attitude towards humans at all. She has no ulterior motives and is very much an open book. She’s knows she is in the right place at the right time. At the same time, her change will be subtle. It’s like erosion. She didn’t see it until faced with it when she was with a member of her own kind.”

“Her clothing does matter and it’s a positive thing. Just like everything she says she means, she’s an open book. This catsuit has no pockets. She has nothing to hide. What she is what she is...the sex is going to be read, I have no control over that – that’s a physical thing I have no control over – but as far as the way they’ve designed to outfit, that’s what I see.”

“[Regarding her photo shoots in Maxim], I’ve been modelling for over eight years, and yes, the body is something I definitely grew to be extremely comfortable with.”

“[On being elevated to pop culture immortality] It’s got to be pretty amazing. You’re joining something historical. That’s huge and if anything, its quite humbling. To step into something so huge and something that is so pre-established, suddenly you’re asking ‘What do I have to offer?’ Like I said, it’s really humbling. You get down and do some grinding and do the best that you can because less is not going to be good enough.”
